Our Team

Dr. Michael Wong is an Associate Professor at Azusa Pacific University, specializing in Modalities, Therapeutic Exercises, Orthopedic Physical Therapy, Evidence-Based Practice, Diagnostic Imaging, and Medical Screening. He is a residency and fellowship-trained orthopedic clinical specialist and lectures for the Southern California Kaiser Permanente Orthopedic Fellowship and USC Spine Fellowship. Dr. Wong authored Pocket Orthopaedics: Evidence-Based Survival Guide and has presented nationally and internationally on manual therapy and movement. He has lectured 17 times at the Combined Sections Meeting (2015-2019) on topics such as movement analysis and technology in education. Dr. Wong mentors annually in Beijing for the USC Orthopedic Residency and Spine Fellowship. A 2000 Loma Linda University graduate, he holds a Master’s and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees and completed advanced training through Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Wong also serves as a Teaching and Learning Fellow and chairs the Institutional Review Board at Azusa Pacific University.

Dr. Christopher Schmidt, is a seasoned educator, clinician, and leader with 30 years of experience. He has 13 years of clinical patient care in secondary school, college, and international settings. He has held academic and administrative roles at Whittier College and Azusa Pacific University, where he directed the athletic training program. He is a national Board-certified athletic trainer and served as an educational consultant, committee member for the Far West Athletic Trainers’ Association (FWATA) and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), and Chair of the Review Committee for the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Dr. Krajnik’s clinical background includes acute care, adult rehabilitation, skilled nursing, community mental health, primary care, and outpatient services, with specializations in adult neurology and gerontology. Dr. David Plutschack earned his Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from Creighton University in 2010. His clinical experience includes burn care, acute care, ICU, and outpatient hand therapy from 2010-2016. Since 2016, Dr. Plutschack has been a full-time assistant professor at Drake University, teaching upper extremity rehabilitation, kinesiology, physical agent modalities, and work rehabilitation.

Jaclyn Schwieterman is the Chair of the Department of Athletic Training and Sports Medicine and Program Director of the Athletic Training Program at Marietta College. As a dually appointed employee, Jaclyn's time is spent both in the classroom and working clinically. Jaclyn completed her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training at Ohio University and her Master of Education degree at the University of West Florida. Dr. William Adams is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he is also the Program Director for the Master of Science in Athletic Training and Director of the Hydration, Environment, and Thermal (H.E.A.T.) Dr. Yvonne Randall is a dedicated advocate for occupational therapy with a career spanning over 25 years. With 27 years of academic experience, she holds Emerita status at Augusta University since 2021 and is currently a Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at The University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky. Dr. Chatto has received multiple honors, including Outstanding Faculty, Distinguished Service, and Outstanding Clinical Educator awards. He has worked in outpatient orthopedics for the past decade. Dr. Dan Farwell graduated with his BS in Physical Therapy from the Loma Linda University in 1981. He received his Masters in Biokinesiology and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University Southern California in 1999. He was the director / owner of Body Rx Physical Therapy, a private practice, out-patient, orthopedic clinic from 1985 – 2007.

He began his teaching career in 1999, as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California.
